Chapman University is an ever-changing and expanding community, with the new Center for Science and Technology being a testament to that. This commemorative poster highlights the key aspects of this major accomplishment for the university. To represent the convergence of the many disciplines that the new center will be home to, we used an enlarged fenestra (Chapman’s logo representing a window of opportunities) to symbolize the coming together of many ideas at a central point. The imagery inside each piece of the fenestra highlights not only aspects of the new building but the people that will come to this place to learn, grow, and discover. We incorporated a watercolor effect to represent the mixture of disciplines that will call this building home. In the same way watercolors combine to create a harmonious piece, so too will the new Center for Science and Technology.
